Honeydew Smoothie

 Ahhh......  It's nice to have something thirst-quenching, healthy, and cool on a hot day.  According to my smoothie cook book, this is extremely low in calories and fat.  I love the fact that you use fresh mint in this smoothie, it gives it a nice twist to the honeydew, and.......  Before you know it, you'll have sucked down the entire smoothie.


Cut a honey dew melon in half....


 Stick a spoon in it....


 and scoop out all the seeds.


 peel and dice the melon...


 and make sure you have at least 2 1/2 cups.


 Now, grab a couple of tablespoons fresh mint leaves,


 and chop them up.


 Now grab some ginger ale or sprite,


 measure 1/3 cup and pour it into a blender along with all the other ingredients:

Honey dew
Mint
1 tablespoon lime juice
Pinch of salt
2 cups of ice

Blend together well.





 Tada!  A refreshing, easy, low-calorie smoothie.
