O my! You can have these puppies with just about any thing, at any time! You can have them as a delectable grab-and-go breakfast, or have them along with your tomato soup at lunch. or have them with your steak at supper. Use them for your next foot ball game for appetizers. Eat them with anything! Except candy. That would be a mess!
First, sift together 2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, and 3/4 teaspoon salt. Feel free to add paprika at this point!
Sit it all together until it's nice and fluffy. Cut in 1/4 cup shortening.
To another bowl, add 1/2 cup milk (plus 2 tablespoons), 4 tablespoons vegetable oil,
And 1 egg.
Whisk it all together.
After that, add the wet mixture to the dry mixture...
I've been cooking 10 slices bacon (Pretend that stuff in the skillet is bacon) and latter I will cut it up.
Add 1 cup finely chopped onions,
Chopped up bacon
and 1 cup cheddar cheese. I tend to add more cheese!
Mix that all together.
Spoon batter into muffin tins, and bake in a 375 degree oven.
And there you have it! Bacon Onion cheddar biscuits! These are down right delightful guys!
