French Breakfast Puffs

Man.  These are GOOD.  I mean I've made allot of things in my life, but this.....  Let's just say you can't beet it!  If any of you are VERY afraid of diabetes, STAY AWAY FROM THIS RECIPE. not only are they dripping in butter, but there dripping in sugar!  This is from Pioneer Woman, and she said she got this recipe from her french teacher, and put it in her cook book, which I am falling in-love with.  It is a guarantee it will taste good, but health improvement......  I'm just going to keep my mouth shut, because you HAVE to try this recipe at least once!

In a large bowl, stir together 3 cups flour, 3 teaspoons baking powder, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg.  Mix to combined.

In a separate large bowl, cream together 2/3 cup shortening, and 1 cup sugar.

Add 2 eggs and mix again.  Alternate by adding about 1/3 of the flour mixture, and and 1/3 of 1 cup milk.  Mix to combined.

Spoon batter into 12 (Greased) muffin tins.  Bake for 15 to 17 minutes at 350.

Take a deep breath and watch what I'm about to do.

To a small bowl, mix together 1 1/2 cups sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon.  And melt 1 cup butter.

WATCH THIS:

Roll your muffin in the butter, (DON'T BE SHY)

And roll it in the cinnamon/sugar mixture (AGAIN, DO NOT BE SHY)

Place the muffins on a nice platter. De-lish!

Oh my guys, I can just see your mouth watering.

These muffins freeze easily, and re-heat like a dream!

Enjoy this guys!

THIS RECIPE IS FROM PIONEER WOMAN.

Hi! I went to high school with your dad. I LOVE your blog. My hobby is cooking, though I'm not nearly as good at baking as you seem to be. Keep up the good work!

Keep trying! What did not work out well? Did you not grease the muffin pans? I just noticed I did not say to do that. Sorry!

Well I did grease the muffin pan with some butter, but when I took the muffins out they weren't done in the middle and I tried to toss them out of the pan by flipping the pan over the middle fell out and everything else stayed in! Oh p.s. this is Olivia! But we did make some little ones this morning and they were Delicious! Thanks 4 putting the recipe on your blog! :) oh! and I checked out the pioneer woman website it was great!
